Colorful Welcome Sign

Welcome to my blog! I am excited to share my journey in learning various programming languages with you. As someone who had an unconventional path to programming, I understand the struggle of trying to learn something new. However, through my experiences, I hope to make the process of learning a little less daunting for others as I share what I wish I had known when I was learning.

My interest in programming began in my youth, but I didn’t consider entering the technology industry. I had taken a programming course in high school and found it to be both challenging and fun! But, I ultimately followed in my biological mother's footsteps and entered the apparel industry. During my time working in the apparel industry as a technical designer and merchandiser, I was always fascinated by the software we used and how it worked, but I never imagined myself as a programmer. It wasn't until later on that I was able to dedicate more time to learning the fundamentals of writing code.

I attended a Software Engineering Boot Camp, which allowed me to focus on the basics of programming and really delve into the world of coding. While it was a challenging experience, I found that the more I learned, the more I wanted to know. Despite the occasional stumbling block, I found the process to be quite fun.

When I went back to school to study Computer Science, the programming courses quickly became my favorite. While it was sometimes frustrating to make mistakes, I learned that it was essential to embrace those mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow. Maintaining a sense of curiosity and persistence through these stumbling blocks has been crucial to my success.

Throughout my journey, I've learned that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. It is how we respond to those mistakes that determine our growth. I've found that maintaining curiosity and perseverance, even when faced with challenges, has been key for me.

Through this blog, I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with those who may be struggling to learn new programming languages. I understand that it can be overwhelming, but I hope to make it a little easier by sharing what I wish I had known when I was starting out.

As someone who has experienced the joys and frustrations of learning programming, I want to encourage others to keep going and not give up. With dedication and hard work, anyone can learn to code.

I hope that you find my blog to be informative and helpful as you embark on your own programming journey.
